From now to June 20 2002, We will be having a biggest catfish contest.... The winner will be crowned King or Queen of the spring time fishing contest.....
To qualify, you must summit picture, location caught, method and bait used..... You will be allowed to lie about location only.... I know nobody likes to give up their favorite fishing hole.....
I will post the winner on June 21...... So lets get catfishing....

WooHoo, we get a head start on all you northerners
I live in Gainesville. Pretty sure i drove through or right by Avon Park a couple years ago.
Think i'm gonna head to Rodman Reservoir this weekend and see what i can come up with. Water should be getting about right, i know it's been hot enough lately.
Absolutely cannot wait to hit the river this spring and summer and set a few trotlines and throwlines to see what me and my buds can hang-that is if our slave-driver bosses will let us offa work(we haul hay for our summer job-gets us in shape for fb)
I sure hope someone catches a catfish to win the contest..... I have been trying almost every weekend and so far no luck... I have caught a bunch of eating sized cats but nothing bigger than a few pounds...... Of course right now that would be the biggest fish posted.... So some one catch a biggun... We all want to se it

Well we didn't do to good, caught 1 8# channel in about 4 hrs. and we decided to release it. Oh well there is going to be better times this summer i am sure. No camera-so no picture sorry.

Catman I caught it in Cow Creek near Hutchinson Ks., about a 11 mile drive from where I live. It was about 11 am, on a 6ft graphite rod using that flat 14-20 lb. test line with a Shamono reel. Using what else but my own blood bait

Ps: We are getting rain now so am hoping it puts the creek on the rise, if it does I will be heading back out Thur. or Fri.
Catman,I just started a new batch brewing Thur. should be ready in 7-10 days. If I go to many times before then I am going to run out, can't have that. The weather has been too cool up to now to make it properly, needs to stay in the 80's. Didn't get that much rain but will try to go out again soon.
