WooHoo, we get a head start on all you northerners

I live in Gainesville. Pretty sure i drove through or right by Avon Park a couple years ago.

Think i'm gonna head to Rodman Reservoir this weekend and see what i can come up with. Water should be getting about right, i know it's been hot enough lately.

I sure hope someone catches a catfish to win the contest..... I have been trying almost every weekend and so far no luck... I have caught a bunch of eating sized cats but nothing bigger than a few pounds...... Of course right now that would be the biggest fish posted.... So some one catch a biggun... We all want to se it

Eagle, looks to me like you have the big cat so far.... If no picture that's ok, but tell us where, when , how, and with what did you catch on.....

Biggest thing I have caught in a long time is a 3# brown bullhead.... I had been catching a lot of small cats, but it's been real slow lately...

Well enjoy retirement and catch a mess of cats for me..... Catman

Smile

Catman I caught it in Cow Creek near Hutchinson Ks., about a 11 mile drive from where I live. It was about 11 am, on a 6ft graphite rod using that flat 14-20 lb. test line with a Shamono reel. Using what else but my own blood bait

Ps: We are getting rain now so am hoping it puts the creek on the rise, if it does I will be heading back out Thur. or Fri.

Catman,I just started a new batch brewing Thur. should be ready in 7-10 days. If I go to many times before then I am going to run out, can't have that. The weather has been too cool up to now to make it properly, needs to stay in the 80's. Didn't get that much rain but will try to go out again soon.
