I got these 2 channel cats today(april 5th). Both came on cut bait. Fresh suckers that i filleted and then cut the fillets into strips for bait.

Greenzonker, Man I bet those tasted good that nite for supper.
That is about the size we filet and make into bite size chunks throw them in peanut oil and go at it. throw about 8-10 steaks in and then some french fries and some hush puppies. A meal fit for
King or Queen. Glad to see some one braving the cold and catching something.

Gee GZ after looking at those I'm not even going to mention the minnow I caught yesterday.

I've only taken pictures of the bigger cats. I went friday by myself and landed 5 out of 8. Three of those fish were 9-10lbers. Didnt have my camera with me. The catfish fishing is great while the river is flooded this time of year. The river i'm fishing is about 5-6' high now. Last week when i was fishing it, it was 15' high. Water was up into the parking lot of the public access place i have been fishing. As long as the water is high the bite will last. As soon as it drops the fish disapear for the summer
Went down this afternoon at 1pm and my friends son got 2 more cats about 3lbs each. We were there 1.5 hours and left.
