Smile new here, and a question

i am new to this chat. will do a little experimenting with a question:

what type of bassboat do you own, and give a description?

i will go first:

ChampioN 190 DC with 175 EFI. hotfoot, jackplate, full electronics,
trolling motor, etc. full metal flake in light grey, dark grey and red.

might be interesting if we would/could post pics of our boats. will do so
if figure it out..... thanks. any replies???

Smile 2001 Champion

I've got a 2001 ChampioN 190SX with a Mercury 150. It's pewter and burgandy metal flake with gold metal flake arrow stripes. I never thought that I would have a fish and ski boat. After my wife's nagging, I bought this one after deciding that my old 16' Nitro wasn't big enough. I have to say, I was way wrong on the fish and ski concept. I love it!!! Now, I'll go fishing from daylight until noon or so, the wife will meet me and we'll ski/play until around 4 or 5, then fish until dark. Best of both worlds!!!

A 4 passanger paddle boat And yes I've caught bass out of it!
You may laugh now but wait til the duct tape comes off and it sinks,And that is DEAD SERIOUS.

Maybe I should put a little more money in a boat Huh??

97 TR-21 Triton - 98 200 Evinrude
Minn Kota 74# trolling motor
Lowrance X-85 & X-75
Lowrance in-dash hi-speed flasher
Lowrance paper graph
Garmin GPS
Oxygen injected livewells
White/pewter inserts/light grey interior
Single axle trailer with surge brakes

Ain't fancy - just catches fish!

Kinda' like a real old pair of broken in jeans! Comfortable! None of the bells & whistles but a finer fishing platform you won't find anywhere.

98 16' Alumacraft
Deckboat with livewell
3 Minn Kota 50# stern mounts
60+# Minn Kota bow mount
Hummingbird 400 (complete with preprogrammed fish from the factory! )
Lowrance X-85
6 EverStart deep cycle batteries

"All-Electric" jonboat.

We have dozens of lakes in our area that range anywhere from 50 acres to well over 1000 that do not allow gas motors.

Great tournaments too! Oughta' get a load of those "shotgun" starts! LOL!

Thumbs up

great boats and comments. keep them coming. interesting hearing from all of you.

the pic/attachment is of my ChampioN. replaced the "comfy" chairs with butt sears. i started out fishing the banks of farmponds in KS. then graduated to a small 2-man bass boat. now, have this ChampioN. swear i can hear hear it running in my garage right now. guess i will have to wait until the spring and winter finishes it "thing."

Ranger 379 VS

1995 20' Ranger 3987 VS - Bought it this past June from a guy who took it out about six times!
  • 200hp Mercury XRi
  • Motor Guide Trolling Motor
  • Lowrance LMS-350A Depth & GPS
  • Lowrance In-Dash Flasher

volzfan59 - I agree with you, this fish and ski gives me the best of both worlds. My wife and two girls love it, and I love the time with them.

JD Powers was wrong! I am out of my Ranger and into a 2002 Skeeter 200ZX with 200 V-MaX HPDI. Great boat for fishing. Love my Minn Kota troling motor and my Garmin Electronics.
