Alaska

I am biased because I live in Alaska but maybe some categories like the hunt chat like fishing: the Alaska, Southeast, Northwest etc because some fishing info is geared to certain areas as well a species....pete

Thumbs up

Good point,
Halibut is just as important to many people as King Salmon is to others. We also have to remember the delicate but beautiful Grayling. The Artic Char, Dolly Varden, so on and so forth. I'd like to see an Alaskan forum for sure, even if we can't split it up.

I agree pete, I was a little disappointed to see no Alaska category. We seem to fish a little different than the lower fortyeight too. Even with just one category for Alaska, then the locals could help those planning trips here to fish.

Alaska Fishing Forum

I was also about to bring up the subject. Alaska could be an all inclusive FORUM. Although I probably will never get to fish this great State, I do enjoy hearing about it. I think the suggestion of Locals providing info is also a good place to recruit a Moderator .

Oh yes, don't forget the shefish (Stenodus leucichthys) (inconnu) or whatever else you choose to call it. And that's just a start on teh fresh water fishing avaiable.

Chinook,

Welcome to the inside of the barrell!

I heard a rumor that someone had just caught a 100 # King this year. Do you have any knowledge of the situation, and can we expect to see application for a new ALL TACKLE as well as Line Class record?? (IGFA)
